Primark Haul | Preparing for Winter!

Hello lovelies! It's rather cold and windy today and I'm currently sat at my laptop, wearing my brand new baggy cardigan and listening to the rain as I write this blog post. It's funny how the weather has completely changed as soon as September began!

Now don't get me wrong, I love summer and I especially love wearing pretty floral dresses and walking about the town as the sun is blaring down, but as the winter clothes are filling the shops it's getting me excited for movie evenings, with the fire warming up the house and sipping on hot chocolate before bed!
I've been working at Primark part time this Summer and have been lucky enough to have my contract made
permanent, which means I'll be able to earn a bit of pocket money while at Uni. Most people may think working at Primark is fantastic, now that might be so but once you've been working a 10-7 shift all week the last place you want to go on your day off is the busy shop that is Primark. I've been working hard recently and so once pay day arrived last week I decided that I deserved a treat and I headed into the City centre with Mumma Brooks.
The first item I bought is this amazing baggy cardigan, I'm a sucker for wooly things and in my opinion the baggier the jumper or cardigan the better! I love to be comfortable and when it comes to wearing something over my arms I don't like anything too tight. The material is also really soft and not too harsh, my skin is super sensitive so soft materials is a must for me! I love the design and I can already tell that this is going to be worn a lot over the winter months, and for £14 I might have to go and buy a couple more!

Primark have had this dress in for a few weeks now and I've been eyeing it up every time I went into work. I finally caved in and bought it in wine/red, the other colour they had it in was in blue but the wine colour looked much nicer in my opinion. I'm also going to the East Anglia Blogger Party this Friday and thought it would be the perfect dress for the occasion. I love the lace top, it doesn't show off too much skin but still makes you look super sexy. I can't wait to wear this dress and a blog post about the party will be up next week sometime! The dress was £14 I believe and if this is still in stock by my next shift, then the blue version may make its way into my wardrobe.
The last clothing item I picked up was the pretty pastel pink top, the fabric is quite thin and I just love the birds and floral design. I'll probably wear this with my thick skirts and then pair it with a baggy cardigan. As the weather is getting bleak this pretty little top will brighten up my wardrobe until the sun makes it's appearance. For £4 this was a bargain!
What Winter wardrobe wouldn't be complete without a pack of thick tights! I go through tights like nobody's business and I'm quite clumsy, and as a result I end up getting ladders in them quite quickly so for £2.50 I couldn't turn these down. My legs are quite pasty so I doubt they'll be getting much sun over the Winter months!
I absolutely adore fake lashes. I'm not one for buying "in your face, party girl" lashes, as I prefer the more natural look where they just add a bit of length and volume. I used to buy a lot of lashes from Boots and Superdrug but found that their brands really didn't suit me. Primark lashes are by far my favourite, they sell a wide variety of different styles, but in my opinion you can't beat their natural look lashes. They come with a glue adhesive, I normally tend to use my Eylure lashfix glue as it's fantastic. As you can see these lashes are £1 and I tend to buy them in bulk!
I wasn't planning on buying any nail polishes but I walked past these and loved the variety of colours. I've seen quite a few girls wearing grey nail varnish and I really like the look. I'm planning on doing a review of these as I'm quite curious to see how easy it is to apply these varnishes. For £2 a pack for 4 tiny pots you can't complain!
Oh lord, I fell in love with these brogues as soon as I laid eyes on them! Primark also have these in black but I just love the tan look, they'll be able to go with a variety of different outfits and I just like how cute and vintage they are. For £10 they're quite expensive shoes for Primark, but I didn't mind paying a pretty penny for them!
These are another pair of shoes that I fell in love with, they're wide fit and super comfortable so I can't see myself having any problems walking in these cute heels. I love the little cut out effect around the edges, and the lace up bow makes these shoes even prettier. I don't often wear heels but I'm going to wear these every chance I get as I just love how girly they are! These shoes are £12 and also come in a light grey.
Now I know I didn't buy this at Primark but it was just too cute not to include! I was passing through Waterstones and saw this DIY owl kit and had to buy it. Owls are my favourite animals and my room is currently being redecorated so I'm looking forward to making these and adding it to the decor :) I can't quite remember the price but I think it was about £4.99!

I only went into Primark to buy a few Winter items and ended up buying much more than I was expecting to! What do you girls thing of my winter items and have you updated your wardrobe yet?
