MUA Heaven and Earth | Review

A few weeks ago I reviewed the eyeshadow palette Undress Me Too by MUA so I thought it was about time I gave my thoughts on their "best selling palette"- Heaven and Earth. With 12 shimmery eyeshadows filled with a variety of neutral colours this is the perfect palette to create a day time look, or even a subtle smokey eye if you're not one for dramatic eye make up.

My make up is normally very simple and I've unfortunately not been blessed with the art of creating beautiful smokey eyes, so I normally just stick with liquid eyeliner as my signature look but this is definitely my go to palette for when I want to shake things up and add a bit of spice to my daily routine, I clearly live on the edge!

I'm not usually one to go for shimmery shades as I prefer matte colours but this palette could easily convert me in a heart beat. The variety of neutral brown and gold shades is what drew me into this palette but the £4 price tag is what sealed the deal.

The eyeshadow palette also comes with an applicator, I felt that this was too soft and every time I swept it across the lid I felt the foam(?) padding sliding off so I binned it straight away, as a result I use one of my Estee Lauder eyeshadow brushes and blending brush for application instead. The eyeshadows are very blend-able and so it's very easy to make these shades as subtle as you want, or even build them up to go for a more dramatic look.

Apart from the two lighter shades the colours are very pigmented and seem to last quite a long time, which for £4 is surprising but very impressive! Let's face it girls, we all want a palette that's both easy on the purse and can match the higher end products, here's looking at you Mac and Urban Decay! I normally just use the lighter shades as a base and for highlighting the inner corner of my eyes and brow bone. Using a primer will definitely make these shades last even longer, which is especially helpful if you're going for a night on the town!

All in all this is an amazing little palette and in all honesty I think it's far better than Undress Me Too so I can definitely see why it's their best seller.

What do you ladies think about this palette and do you prefer one of MUA's other collections as opposed to this one?

  1. I really want to get this palette and the undressed me too one, since I'm such a boring person with eye shadows and I only use neutrals! X
